I’d like to say that the above format was on purpose, but its not. Beer + lack of planning + last minute writing are the culprits. But, I had to chop it up so it would be readable. ;)
It was a rough day getting ready for Rita. I also got to experience what it feels like to evacuate from Houston. But, watching the news tonight makes the 6 hour drive home from Houston (Normally 2.5 or so depending on how heavy ones foot maybe.)seem downright speedy. I spent the morning in a Sams’ club helping pick up supplies. I spoke to one guy that waited two hours to get through one traffic light. (That would suck.)
I do have good news: David is back in Texas, the bad news is that he is still active and now pre-positioned to deal with the storm.
Oh, and if you stop by this weekend and the sites not up.. that will be courtesy of Rita.
